Drop brought on by fall in building material and garden equipment sector
Statistics Canada is reporting a drop in retail sales for the month of November.
The agency says retail sales fell 0.1 percent, to just under 62 billion dollars.
Th decrease was led by lower sales in the building material and garden equipment sector, as well as food and beverage stores.
However, initial estimates for December indicate retail sales grew by about half a percent.
