Council voting to spend over $500,000, three companies will get the work
Going to be some playground upgrades for Sullivan Park in Thorold.
Council voted to approve over $500,000 in work to three companies, which are D & R Landscape Group, ABC Recreation to put in a new splash pad, and Henderson Recreation Equipment for new equipment.
Benches and swings are also going in, with a fitness area and trail still to come.
Councillor Jim Handley remembers the last upgrades in 1996.
Councillor Carmen DeRose recalls when he used to go there, and he takes his own kids there.
Councillor Mike De Divitiis added Thorold is growing, so the need is there with more families moving to the area.
