Update: Police release picture of suspect
Police are looking for the thief who held up a cannabis store in Beamsville.
Officers were called Monday night at around 9, to the Cannabis Cupboard on Ontario Street, to reports of a robbery.
They learned the suspect had what appeared to be a suspected gun, using it to take an undisclosed amount of money.
He ran north on Ontario Street, and though police used the K9 unit, the suspect escaped.
The store employee was not hurt.
Police say the man is white and about 5'11 tall. He was wearing a plain, blue bandana over his chin and mouth, a blue jacket with an emblem on the left chest, also blue jeans, as well as black and white sole running shoes.
His right hand was in his front, right jacket pocket, his left hand carried a blue reusable shopping bag. He also wore black gloves.
