Police tried to stop a stolen vehicle early Friday, the driver backed into a police car, and fled
The theft of a number of vehicles in St. Catharines has led to the arrest of a 15-year old boy.
Police say it started earlier this month, as they looked into some vehicle break ins and thefts, in the Roehampton Avenue area.
Early Friday morning, just after 2, police found a stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the Welland and Grantham Avenue area, with the suspect they were looking for, and attempted to stop the vehicle.
Police say the driver reversed the vehicle, collided with a police car, and took off.
They eventually found the suspect, finding he was responsible for multiple stolen vehicles and break and enters.

Police say he had a bail hearing Saturday.
