Official ribbon cutting ceremony set for end of the month
On Tuesday, June 28th Niagara Parks Commission officials will be on hand to unveil "The Tunnel".
When the tunnel opens to tourists on July 1st, visitors will take a glass paneled elevator 180 feet beneath the power station to explore the 2,200 foot long Tunnel.
On the NPC's website, it says "the journey will take you along the same path travelled by water and lead you to a viewing platform where the tunnel emptied into the Niagara River. The newly constructed viewing platform offers unprecedented access to a new perspective of the lower Niagara River with unparalleled views of both the Horseshoe and American Falls."
