Suspect tasered during struggle with police.
One person has been arrested after police responded to a disturbance call in Thorold.
Around 5:14 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to the area of Merrittville Highway and Sir Isaac Brock Way, where a man was causing a disturbance inside a hallway of a building.
Police say while they spoke with the man, he suddenly began punching and pushing them without warning.
A taser was used during the struggle, which helped officers arrest the suspect.
Three police officers received minor injuries.
Sopuruchi Anyaele, 19, of Thorold, was arrested and charged.
He is due in court on January 17th, 2023.
