Bullets were flying as police chase down suspect Tuesday night
Buffalo police have arrested a 28 year old man charging him with three counts of attempted murder after a routine stop turned into a chase through city streets.
It happened Tuesday evening when police made a traffic stop on Ferry St.
The driver handed over his ID then sped off.
After quickly dropping off a female passenger, the driver opened fire on police
One officer was shot in the arm and ear, another was saved by his bulletproof vest and a third who remains in hospital was shot in the stomach, but is expected to make a full recovery.
The suspect identified as Kente Bell was hospitalized in critical conditions after he was shot by police.
Nine police vehicles were hit by bullets.
Fortunately, no bystanders were injured.
The shooting remains under investigation.
