Police made the arrests after initially watching a man dealing in St. Catharines
People living in a Thorold neighbourhood, and one in Welland, noticing police yesterday, all due to more drug busts.
This investigation started in July, as they monitored a man selling suspected cocaine in St. Catharines.
Yesterday, police searched a McArthur Lane address in Thorold, and another house on Willowlanding Court in Welland.
Between the two places, they found roughly $100,000 in cocaine, over $48,000, and more drugs and money in a suspect's car.
Police say 30-year old Ismail Ahmed of Mississauga was charged:
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) x2
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Personation to Obtain Property Interest (Fraud)
He has a bail hearing today.
35-year old Chantal Fournier of Welland is charged with a single count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000. She was released with a future court date.
