One suspect charges with possessing and accessing child pornography, second suspect accused of being an accessory after the fact
Two Fort Erie men has been arrested in connection to a child pornography case.
An investigation into the online sexual exploitation of kids started last June.
In March, police searched a home in Fort Erie, and seized several electronic devices.
A forensic examination also took place.
Earlier this month, police identified 54 year old Eric Michael Hagen as a suspect.
On May 24th, he was added to Niagara Wanted List.
Yesterday, he was arrested after being found inside a home on the east side of Fort Erie.
He was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Child Pornography (2 counts)
- Accessing Child Pornography
Hagen remains in custody, pending a bail hearing.
Police say 54 year old Mark Edward Latondress was inside the home at the time, and detectives believe he was trying to help Hagen escape police.
He was arrested, and since been released.
Latondress is due back in court on August 25th.
