Vaccines and COVID testing changes to be announced today
At 10:00 this morning officials with Health Canada are expected to announce they have given approval to begin vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 with a lower dose Pfizer vaccines.
The rollout of the vaccinations will begin as soon as Canada gets an initial delivery of three million doses, enough to give every eligible child in Canada a first shot.
Then at 1:00, federal ministers are expected to announce they are making changes to a controversial border requirement.
The government is expected to change the requirement forcing Canadians to submit the results of a negative molecular COVID 19 test before being allowed back in the country.
Sources says Canadians who travel stateside for 72 hours or less will not have to take a COVID test before being allowed to return home.
