Police not releasing names
Police say after further they have laid charges against a 30 year old Lincoln man and a 43 year old St. Catharines woman following a rally a week ago today in the Garden City.
They have received summons for failing to comply with the Ontario Reopening Act of 2020 and a summons for failing to comply with an order made during a declared emergency as outlined in the Emergency Management Act.
Police say because they have been charged under the Reopening Act which is provincial legislation and not the Criminal Code, they will not be disclosing their names.
Last week police laid charges against two men, one reported to be the Mayor of West Lincoln and the other a Thorold councillor for attending the same rally.
