Building temporarily locked down.
A building in Thorold was locked down earlier this afternoon after police received a report of an armed person.
Around 2:45 p.m., officers were called to the Lofts on Schmon Parkway, building six.
The building was placed under lockdown as officers investigated.
No weapon was located.
Niagara Regional Police say a report of a man with a long gun was unfounded.
Officers also say this incident is not related to the shootings that occurred earlier today in Peel and Milton.
