United Way Niagara wants your help with the Period Promise Campaign.
During the month of May donations of money or period products are being accepted in order to help women in need.
Donations collected will be distributed to local agencies, food banks and service providers in Niagara.
Drop offs will be accepted on May 22nd from 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Niagara Falls Farmers Market, and on Friday, May 28th, from noon until 6:00 p.m. at the Seaway Mall parking lot in Welland.
Cash donations can be made here.
The campaign will kick off on May 1st, with the Falls illuminating in red for fifteen minutes at 9:45 PM.
Organizers say that the economic impact of COVID-19 is forcing many women to choose between other basic needs and safe menstrual products.
