It's been 5-years now since South Shore Search and Rescue began using its rescue ship GAMRU 240 on Lake Ontario, recording up to 190 missions, rescuing 204 people, and saving 22 lives.
South Shore says crews have recovered more than $2.9-million in property, or ships.
The rescue ship has done 670 training exercises, which makes the organization's volunteers very proud.
South Shore adds crews made headlines with missions, including earning two national awards, for a dramatic mission that saved 7-people on a blustery day in 2022.
