One person was hospitalized following a collision between a motorcycle and a stolen Toyota Corolla.
One person has been arrested in connection to a dangerous driving incident in Wainfleet.
Around 1:45 p.m. on May 4th, police reports of a collision near the area of Regional Road 24 (Victoria Avenue) and Regional Road 27.
Investigators say a motorcycle was intentionally hit by a 2017 Toyota Corolla.
The 40 year old man driving the motorcycle was hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives say the Toyota was stolen, and had stolen license plates on it.
The suspect, 48 year old Jason Marttila of Welland, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Mischief over $5000
