Combination of factors may make some tires tough to find this season
A warning from tire retailers, if you need snow tires get them early before supplies run out.
A spokesman for Kal Tire tells CTV news, during the start of the pandemic tire manufacturers paused production and that may lead to shortages this year.
The halt in production is on top of a poor rubber tree harvest this year and the closing of some ports leading to shipping delays.
A survey by the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada has found about 69 percent of Canadian drivers have already made the switch to snow tires.
