The Toronto Sun reporting this morning, the Ford government will push back March break until later this year.
An announcement is expected later this week.
The paper says the government and its medical experts are growing increasingly concerned over the spread of several variants of the virus.
The Sun says there are three options on the table, including moving the break to April, delaying it until May or ending the school year five days earlier in June.
Teacher's unions however oppose the move citing teacher burnout and want the March break to go as scheduled.
