Niagara Public Health is confirming 166 new cases of COVID-19 today.
While the death toll remains unchanged, as of this morning 90 people are battling the virus in local hospitals.
There are 24 patients in local ICUs.
Variants have been detected in just under 2,500 cases.
St. Catharines now has over 800 active cases, and both Niagara Falls and Welland have over 500 active cases of the virus.
