Toronto Police identified Andrew Hong as the victim
Three people are dead, including the suspect, and three others injured following a series of shootings in the GTHA yesterday.
A 22-year-veteran of the Toronto police force is among the victims, with the city's police chief saying 48-year-old Constable Andrew Hong was ``ambushed'' during his lunch break while at a training session in Mississauga.
The suspect was shot and killed by police in Hamilton, and Ontario's police watchdog is now investigating.
The shootings prompted a public safety advisory across much of Southern Ontario.
