Another person has died of COVID-19 in Niagara.
Niagara Region Public Health is reporting 26 new COVID-19 infections and another death today.
The area's death toll is now at 429 after the death of a person in the 80+ age group.
There are currently nine COVID-19 patients within Niagara Health, and three are in the ICU.
All of the patients are unvaccinated.
Currently, there are ten active outbreaks and 240 active cases in the region.
More than 696,000 vaccinations have been administered.
About 75 percent of Niagara residents have their first shot and 69.6 percent have both.
