Three people stopped for excessive speeding over the weekend, all in separate cases, all doing almost double the speed limit.

The first one, on Friday afternoon, a police officer catches a driver doing 93 in a 50km zone on Lyons Creek Road.

The 62-year old man from Niagara Falls was charged with stunt driving, licence suspended for 30 days, vehicle impounded for 14 days.

On Saturday night, police clocked a 46-year old Pelham woman driving at 102 in a 60 zone on Regional Road 20 in Thorold, she was charged with the same.

And last night, police say they stopped a 31-year old Welland man on Lyons Creek Road for doing 99 in a 50km zone.

Not only was he charged with stunt driving, but not giving his licence, driving under suspension, and not giving insurance.
