Three NRP officers suffer minor injuries
A 33 year old St. Catharines man is facing a slew of charges after a violent incident in downtown St. Catharines overnight.
The incident happened just after midnight when police were called to the area of Helliwells Lane and St. Paul Street after reports of an unwanted male and a disturbance.
Upon arrival officers located a large fight.
Police attempted to subdue a male who was identified as the instigator.
The male suspect ended up head butting an offier in the face, another officer was cut and a third suffered cuts to their hand and body. All of the injures are considered minor.
Police have charged Bronson Michael Perna with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest, 3 counts of assaulting a peace officer as well as 2 counts of drug possession.
