Niagara Public Health is reporting 48 new cases of COVID-19 today.
The death toll has risen to 401, after a person in the 40-59 age group died.
As of this morning, there are 52 people in local hospitals with the virus, and 22 are in ICUs.
The region is reporting 1,285 active cases, with over two-thirds coming from St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland.
