Another person has died of COVID-19 in Niagara, bringing the death toll to 398.
This comes as Niagara Public Health confirms 49 new cases of the virus today.
At the moment, 57 patients are fighting COVID-19 in local hospitals, and 22 are in ICUs.
The region has 1,565 active cases, with St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland accounting for about two-thirds of that amount.
To date, 208,954 vaccinations have been administered in Niagara.
