Two Canadians still missing
Global Affairs Canada has confirmed a seventh Canadian has been killed in the Israel-Gaza war.
The agency adds at least two Canadians are still missing.
"Canada unequivocally condemns Hamas’ terrorist attack against Israel. We support Israel’s right to defend itself, in accordance with international law. Canada calls for the immediate release of all hostages," the agency says. "Canada is deeply concerned by the situation in Gaza."
The GAC adds there are about 5,765 Canadians living in Israel, 451 in the West Bank and Gaza and 17,135 in Lebanon.
As of today, about 1,600 Canadians have received assistance getting out of the area.
