Nun Charged with Sexual Assault

97-year old charged in Ottawa

A 97 year old nun has been arrested in a sexual assault case at a former Ontario residential school.

The OPP says Francoise Seguin of Ottawa was arrested on Wednesday, after they received a tip last year.

An OPP spokesperson says the alleged incidents took place in the 1960s and '70s at two residential schools and a detention facility in northern Ontario.

The incidents involve a single victim.

Seguin is charged with three counts of gross indecency, and will appear in court in December.
