On this date in 1962, the Seagram Tower opened its elevator to visitors.
Since then it's gone through a number of name changes. including the Panasonic Tower, Minolta Tower and the Konica and Minolta Tower Centre.
There was also the Heritage Tower, Royal Inn Tower and Royal Centre Tower.
It's current name, The Tower Hotel.
