A 'random ticket' Was a Big Winner for Niagara Falls Woman

Dorota Langlois of Niagara Falls won the Instant $50K lottery.

$50,000 was nice surprise from a recent lotto win for Dorota Langlois of Niagara Falls.

“I was playing my ticket and didn’t really understand it at first,” she said in an OLG news release. “I said to my husband, ‘I matched a number, but I can’t see.’ He said ‘wow’ and I knew it was real. I put my glasses on and I was shocked. It was crazy — I was surprised and in disbelief.”

Langlois, who works in the hospitality industry, is an occasional lottery player who enjoys playing instant games.

“This is my first big win — it was just a random ticket selection at the store,” she said in the release. “I never expected something like this.”

She plans on using her winnings on a home renovation. 

The winning ticket was purchased at Montrose Variety on Montrose Road in Niagara Falls.
