Frontline workers at Greater Niagara General Hospital will be able to re-use their N95 masks.
Alectra has donated a machine that can destroy up to 99.9 percent of all viruses and pathogens, so the masks can be re-used about five to ten times.
The Clean Works Healthcare Mini can also sanitize several masks at once and it was developed in Beamsville.
Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati is very thankful for this donation to Niagara Health.
“It’s great news that we’re able to get these N95 mask sanitizer machines from a Niagara company and that we’ve got community partners like Alectra to purchase them for Niagara Health.”
