The leadership of the federal Green Party remains in place for the time being.
Last night, the party's federal council held an emergency meeting to decide of the fate of leader Annamie Paul.
The council didn't vote on whether to trigger a process that could have resulted in a no-confidence decision for Paul.
Instead, the council adopted a motion asking her to publicly renounce comments made by Noah Zatzman, one of her former senior advisors.
Zatzman criticized Green MPs on social media over their stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Paul will face a non-confidence vote on July 20th if she doesn't comply.
