An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared on the Fourth Floor Unit at Welland General
The outbreak was called after six patients and two healthcare workers tested positive for COVID-19.
as a result, Niagara Health says some emergency surgeries that require inpatients beds on the floor are being redirected to Niagara Falls and St. Catharines hospitals.
Day surgeries at Welland General will not be impacted.
