It's another step, courtesy of the provincial government, in transforming the vacant Toronto Power Generating station in Niagara Falls
Another major step forward in tranforming the vacant Toronto Power Generating Station into a 5-star boutique hotel.
The provincial government has given the Niagara Parks Commission its approval to redevelop the building that's sat empty for 50 years.
The government says it's a $200-million investment by Society Developments, in collaboration with Pearle Hospitality, into Niagara's first and only 5-star hotel.
It'll accommodate the growing number of tourists to Niagara, with indoor and outdoor public viewing areas and free museum and art gallery.
Niagara Falls mayor Jim Diodati says this will be transformational for hospitality in Niagara Falls and all of Niagara.
