Police say a man was refused a ride somewhere, since he was a stranger after showing up at a house
A Dunnville man has been charged with arson in Wainfleet after being denied transportation.
Police say it happened around 7:30 this morning, when they were called to a vehicle fire behind a home in the Forks Road and Green Road south area.
They learned the man showed up at the house, asked if he could get a ride somewhere, but was refused since he was a stranger.
Police say he returned to the house, and lit the vehicle on fire.
34-year old Richard Sharpe was held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
