A 16-year-old has been arrested and is charged with mischief and stealing a truck.
Police were called to Jordan yesterday on reports of an attempted abduction by an armed suspect and area schools went into safety protocols.
Police say there was no threat and the reports were made up.
It's believed the 16-year-old boy stole a Chevy Avalanche from Haldimand County on Monday.
Gas was later stolen in St. Catharines.
The teen has another court date in October and police continue to investigate.
