Baldinelli says Bergen has tremendous experience and credentials as a parliamentarian, and he looks forward to working with her.
Niagara Falls MP Tony Baldinelli has released a statement after Candice Bergen was elected Interim Leader of the Conservative party.
Here is his full statement:
“Congratulations to my colleague Candice Bergen on her election to be our Interim Leader for the Conservative Party of Canada.
Candice has tremendous experience and credentials as a parliamentarian, having served as both House Leader and Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party, since I was first elected in October 2019.
In her role as our Interim Leader, Candice will doing an incredible job in uniting Conservatives, so we can effectively move forward and undertake our responsibilities as Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition. In doing so, Canada’s Conservatives will hold the federal government to account, while presenting Canadians with an alternative to the reckless, divisive, and irresponsible policies and lack of leadership we see from the Trudeau Liberals.
I look forward to working with Candice and with all my Conservative colleagues in the days, weeks, and months ahead, as we grow our party stronger.”
