The Township of Wainfleet has launched a new parking permit program.
Starting today, people who live in the area can apply online for the Resident Parking Permit Program, listing up to four vehicles registered on their property.
There are two resident parking areas outlined for the project:
- West side of Brawn Road to the Gord Harry Trail
- On Lakeshore Road near Quarry Rd., on the North side
Wainfleet By-law Officer Mark Tardif says this is in response to concerns about parking near beach spots
"Residents have been expressing concerns to municipal staff about parking near beach hot spots during the summer season for some time. Public input and strong support from Council have translated into a new opportunity for residents to access local water features, while keeping traffic flow and parking under control."
