Police have been looking for Derek Gibbs of Port Colborne since December
Some sad news from Niagara regional police in their search for a missing 31-year old Port Colborne man.
They have been looking for Derek Gibbs, who was reported missing on December 17th by his family.
Late Wednesday morning police were called to the Welland Canal, in the Highway 140 area, for the discovery of a body.
The coroner later confirming it is Derek Gibbs.
Back in January, police asked anyone with properties adjacent to the west side of the Welland Canal to check their properties.
Police are thanking the public for their assistance in trying to find him.
