Body found in Lake Erie near Port Maitland Pier.
A sad end to the search for a missing boater.
The OPP confirming the body of a 74 year old boater was found in Lake Erie on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers say the man went fishing in the early morning hours on June 16th in the Port Maitland area, and was reported missing that afternoon.
Niagara Regional Police, the Canadian Coast Guard and the OPP's Joint Rescue Coordination Centre all assisted in the search.
The man's identity has not been released.
