It doesn’t look like you’ll be able to head across the River for a visit anytime soon.
Sources tell Reuters that the border closure will likely be extended until the end of July.
The Canada-U.S. border is closed to all non-essential traffic until at least June 21st.
Talks have been ongoing to extend the border closure, but the deal still needs to be signed.
Both countries have been satisfied with the current arrangement and say it’s working to stop the spread of the virus.
Rules were relaxed slightly on Monday, to allow immediate family member of Canadians to cross over, but they need to quarantine for 14 days.
