The Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games have been postponed due to the pandemic.
The organizers made the big announcement yesterday afternoon and Regional Chair Jim Bradley is supporting the decision.
He says the pandemic has not only affected games-related construction projects in the Region but it has also prevented athletes from training and qualifying.
Bradley adds pushing the games to summer 2022 will help ensure their success and alleviate some of the financial pressures.
