As well, Canada's Jennifer Jones improved her playoff chances by edging American Tabitha Peterson 7-6.
And in hockey action, Canada's men's team have been defeated by Sweden by a score of 2-0.
Canada's women's team however will face the USA for the gold medal tonight.
