Economists weren't expecting the small gain made
Canada's economy grew ever so slightly in October.
Economists say it did better than they expected, as the latest stats on real GDP show it grew by 0.1%.
The preliminary estimate was that it would stay stagnant.
Statistics Canada says the performing arts, spectator sports and heritage institutions industries grew by 4.7 per cent amid more Toronto Blue Jays games than usual in October and a late start to the N-H-L pre-season.
