Fort Erie ranked as the 3rd most generous city or town in Canada, moving up in rank from the previous year

One of the most generous towns or cities in Canada is in Niagara.

Canada's online donation and fundraising site called CanadaHelps shows that Fort Erie is the 3rd largest donor, following Collingwood in 2nd place and Centre Wellington at 1st.

In fact, the website shows 5.7% of residents donated, which moved the town's placing up one spot from the previous year.

The website's CEO says it's great to see so many smaller communities stepping up.

2.73% of people in Toronto donated, dropping its ranking, and Hamilton's ranking also dropped, with 2.43% donating.
