Hexo Corp is slashing 200 jobs, including about 100 here in Niagara.
The Gatineau-based company is closing its operations in Beamsville.
It also owns facilities in Brantford, Belleville and Quebec.
The company employees over 800 people are says the cuts are to ensure the firm's long-term viability.
The cuts impact all departments and all locations, including slashing some executive positions.
Hexo Corp's stock dropped six per cent after the cuts were announced.
