Three people arrested
Three Americans are facing charges after weapons and drugs were seized at the border.
Yesterday, border officials at the Rainbow Bridge crossing conducted a secondary inspection on a vehicle.
Two prohibited firearms, 25 rounds of ammunition, 18 round firearm magazines, suspected cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and $9,997 USD were found.
Police say the money is believed to be the proceeds of crime.
Facing charges are 43 year old Tina Caron of Easton, Maine, 23 year old Tyana Brittany McLaughlin of Caribou, Maine, and 33 year old Anthony Matthew Vangel of Indialantic, Florida.
After a bail hearing today, the suspects have been remanded into custody.
