NRP says park violated the Criminal Code.
Niagara Regional Police have laid charges against Marineland in Niagara Falls.
Officers say the investigation kicked off in October 2021, following allegations of marine mammals in captivity at the park.
The NRP says the investigation determined that dolphins and whales were used for entertainment purposes during the month of August without authorization.
The corporation of Marineland has been charged under Bill S-203 of the Criminal Code.
Park officials will appear in court on February 14th to respond to the charges.
