Confusion after Ford government backtracks and says playgrounds can remain open
In a tweet the city says the following amenities are open: playgrounds, outdoor parks and recreation areas, off leash dog parks, benches in parks or recreational areas, and the Oakes Park walking track,
However, playing fields, basketball and tennis courts, skateparks, the Chippawa Boat Launch, outdoor fitness equipment, golf courses and driving ranges remain off limits.
The reversal comes amid a public backlash.
However, in a tweet the Premier emphasizes gathering limits are still in effect and will be strictly enforced.
Under the new restrictions, outdoor gatherings are limited to members of your household only.
Residents who live alone or caregivers are allowed to socialize with one other household.
