City staff who aren't fully vaccinated will have to face additional testing.
Port Colborne City Council has passed a vaccination policy that will apply to all councilors, staff, students and volunteers.
In a unanimous vote, council approved a policy, which will require those who aren't double-dosed or who haven't disclosed their status to adhere to additional guidelines.
These include completing a mandatory education session, extra PPE measures on top of the mandatory mask policy and rapid antigen testing at regular intervals.
As well, anyone unvaccinated or whose status isn't known must use unpaid, banked vacation, or lieu time if they're forced to self-isolate due to a COVID-19 exposure.
