Property owners who have experienced hardships due to the pandemic will soon have some added flexibility with paying their taxes.
City Council has approved a pre-authorized Property Taxes COVID-19 Payment Plan for 2021.
All tax payers whose taxes were paid in full by February 28th, 2020, will be able to pay their outstanding 2020 and 2021 property taxes penalty and interest free over a one year period if they have since experienced serious financial difficulties caused by the pandemic.
The program is open to both homeowners and tenants.
You have until January 29th to fill out an application.
Those applying will need to show proof of pandemic-related financial hardships.
