Niagara Falls City Council has awarded a more than $7-million construction contract for Fire Station 7.
Bromac Construction will be taking over the project.
Fire Chief Jim Boutilier would like to have shovels in the ground November 1st, with a potential opening date of May 1st 2021.
The state-of-the-art facility will be located in the west end of the City, in the Kalar Road and Lundy's Lane area.
It will house the department's emergency operations centre, which is currently located at Station 1.
